Starch

ASTON produces and sells cationic, oxidized, and native starch.

STARCH is a complex carbohydrate, which is formed in plants and stored by them as a reserve of nutrients. Because starch possesses a wide range of good qualities that, in addition, can be transformed, it is used in the production of paper, textiles, food and perfumes, as well as in construction and other industries.

Cationic Starch

Cationic starch is used in the paper industry. The starch can be produced with different degrees of substitution, viscosity, рН, etc., and optimized for the particular target areas of use.

Cationic starch, depending on its qualities, can be used in the following areas:

- in shower beam systems of paper-making machines in the form of a suspension used to increase the interlaminar strength of multi-layer kinds of paper and cardboard;

- in the production of paper and cardboard, as an additive to the paper pulp that increases the mechanical strength and improves the water drainage and retention;

- in preparation of ASA emulsions.

The product complies with the requirements of TU 9 187-076-00334735-2001.

Storage period: 12 months from the date of production.

Storage requirements: should be stored in covered, dry, well-ventilated storage rooms and warehouses, free from any foreign smells or bread and grain vermins or pests, and with relative air humidity of no higher than 75%.

Oxidized Starch

Oxidized starch is a disorganized starch. It is also used in the paper-making industry for surface sizing of paper and cardboard in the sizing press of the paper-making machine in order to increase the mechanical strength (including the surface strength) of paper and cardboard.

In construction, oxidized starch is used as an adhesive and binding agent in the production of plaster wallboards. The starch ensures reliable binding of the coating layers of the cardboard with the plaster core.

The product complies with the requirements of TU 9187-003-00343579-2007

Storage period: 2 years from the date of production.

Storage requirements: should be stored in covered, dry, well-ventilated storage rooms and warehouses, free from any foreign smells or bread and grain vermins or pests, and away from direct sunlight.

Native Starch

Native starch is natural (regular) starch. It is very well digested and processed by the human body. It is used in the food industry (in the production of confectionary, bread, sausage and other goods). Starch is useful in making corrugated cardboard, textiles, and medical and pharmaceutical products.

The product complies with the requirements of GOST (State Standard) R 51985-2002.

Storage period: 2 years from the date of production.

Storage requirements: should be stored in covered, dry, well-ventilated storage rooms and warehouses, free from any foreign smells or bread and grain vermins or pests, and with the relative air humidity of no higher than 75%.
